This session is part 1 of the Emory Short Series on FASD recorded in 2022. This webinar provides an overview of FASD and covers several evidence-based interventions for FASD that address issues around safety, academic skills, social skills, and self-regulation.
About the Presenter
Dr. Kallio Hunnicutt is a clinical psychologist specializing in the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety, trauma and PTSD, and substance use disorders. She has worked as the PTSD/SUD psychologist at the James J Peters VA in Bronx, NY and now has a role on the Emory Addictions Team within the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Department at Emory University. Dr. Hunnicutt has published in the area of addiction and now works 50% of her time on a grant focused on preventing maternal substance use and its impact on families. Finally, she has a passion for teaching, and supervises residents and psychology practicum students in providing cognitive behavioral therapy to adults with substance use disorders, anxiety, and PTSD. She also coordinates the DBT skills group program in the adult outpatient clinic.
