Speciale interessegroepen
De FASD Collaborative Professional Special Interest Groups (SIG's) zijn ontworpen om professionals een ruimte te bieden om discipline-specifieke onderwerpen en behoeften met betrekking tot FASD te bespreken. Deze SIG's staan open voor iedereen die professioneel verbonden is met het werk van dat specifieke disciplinaire forum.
Elke SIG is ontworpen om ten minste een maandelijkse disciplinespecifieke discussiegroep en gerelateerde inhoud voor zijn leden aan te bieden. Bij alle SIG's ligt de primaire focus op het bieden van een ruimte voor samenwerking, overleg en ondersteuning om de kennis en het begrip van de complexiteit van FASD's te vergroten en die kennis effectief te integreren om te begrijpen hoe de unieke behoeften van elke klant het beste kunnen worden ondersteund. Elke SIG zal zich richten op het bieden van effectieve, op feiten gebaseerde praktijken aan professionals die hun capaciteit om individuen en gezinnen te ondersteunen, zullen vergroten.
De focus van onderwerpen en resultaten voor elke groep zal variëren op basis van de behoeften en interesses van degenen die deelnemen aan die SIG. Neem voor meer informatie contact op met de professionele SIG-hosts hieronder om te worden toegevoegd aan de SIG-mailinglijst/listserv.
Geestelijke gezondheidswerkers SIG
Een professioneel forum georganiseerd door The Center for Neurobehavioral Guidance (Illinois FASD United Affiliate). Deze SIG ondersteunt internationale professionals in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg die individuen met FASD en hun families individueel ondersteunen.
Geschikt voor de volgende beroepen: GGZ-therapeuten, counselors, psychotherapeuten, huwelijks- en gezinstherapeuten, professionele counselors, maatschappelijk werkers, psychologen, therapeuten voor alcohol- en drugsmisbruik, psychiaters, verpleegkundigen in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg, ontwikkelingstherapeuten, ergotherapeuten (ondersteunende gebieden zoals emotionele regulatie).

Spraak-Taal Pathologie SIG
Een professioneel forum gehost door het Specialty Diagnostic Resource Center (Arkansas FASD Diagnostic Center). Deze SIG ondersteunt internationaal logopedisten (SLP's) die mensen met een FASD helpen.

Zie je jouw professionele veld hierboven niet vertegenwoordigd?
Als u uw praktijkgebied hierboven nog niet ziet... wees niet getreurd! Het enige dat we nodig hebben om een nieuwe disciplinespecifieke SIG te vormen, is een organisatie die de kans wil sponsoren. Dit omvat het hosten van een maandelijkse SIG-discussiegroep op Zoom (of vergelijkbaar platform), het toevoegen van nieuwe leden aan uw groep en het faciliteren van groepsbijeenkomsten .
Elke FASD Collaborative Professional SIG moet de elementaire professionele etiquette , discipline-specifieke professionele standaarden hooghouden en volledig in lijn zijn met evidence-based praktijken op het gebied van FASD.

FASD Knowledge Share Collective SIG
We host an open space to share what you are doing in the field of FASD, discuss potential interests and ideas regarding recent developments in our states/territories/local areas, interstate, international, or cross-organizational collaborations, and any other ideas for sharing what has or hasn’t worked, challenges we've experienced, and how we can learn from one another.
The intention of this special interest group is to promote immediate networking and successful connections that can then be furthered through individual collaborations after or in-between Knowledge Share meetings. Meetings are currently quarterly.

FASD Diagnostic SIG
This special interest group (SIG) is designed for professionals involved in the FASD diagnostic process with the goal of promoting evidence-based practices in this integral area.
Members internationally and from multiple professions (e.g., psychology, medicine, speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, etc.) are all welcome. Topics will cover a wide range including screening, testing, and diagnosing. Broader conversations, such as methods, coding, and case conceptualization will also take place.

FASD and Child Welfare SIG
This work group is hosted by Families Rising (formerly the North American Council on Adoptable Children/NACAC) and will focus on how we can elevate FASD knowledge within the child welfare arena. We will discuss how to share FASD information with child welfare professionals including screening, best practices, and training around FASD as well as how to support families who are caring for a child with an FASD.
Adoption, foster care, and child protection professionals are welcome to join this group and bring your ideas on how we can spread more awareness of FASD in our systems. Our group will meet quarterly.

FASD and Allied Health SIG
If you are someone who works in allied health internationally, please join us for regular discussions on how our fields can effectively support individuals with an FASD and their families.
This professional forum is hosted by the Specialty Diagnostic Resource Center, Arkansas's FASD diagnostic center. Allied health professions include, but are not limited to, audiology (AudD), occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), physician assistant (PA), rehabilitation counseling, and speech-language pathology (SLP).

Mental Health Professionals SIG
A professional forum hosted by The Center for Neurobehavioral Guidance (Illinois FASD United Affiliate). This SIG supports mental health professionals internationally who are individually supporting individuals with FASDs and their families.
Suitable for the following professions: Mental Health Therapists, Counselors, Psychotherapists, Marriage & Family Therapists, Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Psychologists, Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors, Psychiatrists, Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, Developmental Therapists, Occupational Therapists (supporting areas such as emotional regulation).
